As a Mine Maintenance Trainer reporting to the Lead Hand, Mine Training; you will support the development and deliver the training programs that have been implemented to a variety of Mining Tradespersons and other workers. - Shift schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off, 12-hour shifts

- Assist in the training and development of Maintenance workers to produce a high level of operating skills on various equipment, processes and tasks within the workforce including employees and contractors
- Conduct ongoing classroom and field training, and complete evaluations for new and existing employees
- Perform and document initial and periodic competency assessments of trainees and provide necessary feedback and progress reports
- Complete various documentation and training records and ensure they are complete, accurate and retained in the database system
- Communicate training results to key employees
- Mentor trainees and develop remedial action plans for anyone who may require further training, mentoring and follow up
- Report on potential problem areas and assist in solutions
- Participate in the delivery of relevant simulator training and computer-based learning (CBL) programs
- Comply with all Health and Safety Requirements established by Canadian Natural
- Know and comply with all regulations and legislative requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act for the Province of Alberta and environmental standards
- Follow safe work procedures and ensure all personnel comply
- Report any injury or illness immediately
- Report unsafe acts and conditions
- Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available and is worn where and when required
- Grade 12 or GED is required
- Valid Alberta Driver’s License
- Alberta Mine Safety Association (AMSA) certificate
- Red seal certification is considered an asset
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in heavy equipment support and maintenance in an industrial environment is required
- An advanced understanding of the safe and efficient operation of small loaders, skid steers, highway tractors, aerial work platforms, telehandlers, overhead cranes and fuel and lube trucks is required
- Rigging, loading, securing loads and knuckle boom truck experience is required
- Basic computer skills (Word, Power Point, Outlook and Excel) are required
- Previous experience in an equipment training role and supervisory experience would be an asset
