Job description

The Blue Mountain Millwright Mechanics II and III will be part of the Maintenance Department team and report to the Maintenance Department Manager, providing Maintenance support throughout the Columbia mine site. The site includes production facilities and warehouse and office operations.

What You’ll Do

- Maintain, diagnose, trouble shoot, repair, and install mechanical equipment and systems at a Blue Mountain Minerals facility utilizing technical, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.

- Work as a team with the entire Maintenance department, the Millwright Mechanic performs general maintenance duties, preventive maintenance, trouble calls, and emergency maintenance as needed and assigned.

- Work on Maintenance projects throughout the facility.

- Perform equipment repairs and similar duties, often independently with no oversight or direction. Equipment can consist of conveyor belts, rotating mechanical equipment, bearings, pumps, motors, piping, steel equipment, crushers, vibrating screens, dryers, and any other equipment associated with heavy industrial manufacturing.

- Interpret and use equipment schematics, blueprints, and building plans to troubleshoot and correct problems.

- Display positive attitude and practice good work ethics that reflect the mission, philosophy, and goals of the company.

- Complete tasks in timely manner and provide feedback.

Experience and qualifications REQUIRED

· Minimum of 2 (Millwright II) to 4 years (Millwright III) related work experience as an industrial Millwright.

· Strong mechanical aptitude in fabrication, pipe fitting, and nonelectrical experience.

· Must successfully pass welding test.

· Experienced in using hand tools, power tools and Maintenance Shop equipment.

· Knowledge and ability to identify workplace hazards and follow proper safety procedures.

· Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

· Ability to work at high elevations up to 140 ft.

Experience and qualifications PREFERRED

· Ability to operate man-lifts, forklifts, backhoe, skid steer and lifting equipment.

· Experienced in machining, using an end-mill and a lathe.

· Experience in confined space entry.

This position is full-time shift work.

Must be available to work overtime, which could include occasional weekends, nights, and holidays.

Wage commensurate with experience.

Pay: $30.00 - $55.00 per hour
