Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, you will be part of the Maintenance Department. You will play an important part in the construction activities follow-up at the project site. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Consistent with Maintenance Department Classification Guideline
- Responsible for the maintenance of mine equipment and facilities to ensure their maximum contribution to the safety, quality, and productivity of the operation
- Assembles, adjusts set-up, lubricates, and maintains/ repairs all types of mining equipment
- Reads and interprets blueprints while carefully following manufacturers instructions
- Carries out working orders related to the preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance plan of the operation
- Equipment removal, installation, alignment, troubleshooting, and repair
- Ensures that the work areas, equipment, and work practices comply with the regulatory codes, statutes, and company requirements
- Liaises effectively with colleagues and managers regarding various work situations and the activities within the department
- Integrate environmental consideration into daily activities/tasks/etc throughout all areas and phases of our operations: conduct business in such a manner to prevent and mitigate negative environmental impacts
- All other duties as assigned
- Millwright License required
- Experience reading & understanding hydraulic and electrical schematics
- Experience in CMMS
- 5+ years experience in similar role Welding and Mine hoisting equipment an asset- Teamwork and self starting work ethic
- Actively operate &think about improvements to own work practices
- Able to develop and maintain effective relationships with other teams, and relevant support and technical staff
- Schedule: 7/7 schedule at our Macassa Mine.
