Foran Mining Corporation (TSX:FOM) is a forward-thinking mining company redefining the industry. We are looking for experienced Mill Operators to join our Mill Processing Plant Team at the McIlvenna Bay Project. As a Mill Operator 2, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient operation of key circuits in the milling process. Depending on your experience and operational needs, positions are available in either the Grinding Area or the Flotation Area. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation.
These roles are critical to ensuring steady-state production, optimal equipment performance, and the achievement of daily production targets. Operators will monitor equipment, adjust operating parameters, respond to process deviations, and collaborate with control room operators, maintenance teams, and metallurgical personnel to support a safe and productive environment

Job Responsibilities:
•Operate and monitor equipment in either the Grinding Area or Flotation Area, depending on assignment and experience.
•Follow all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and operating procedures.
•Perform equipment checks, routine maintenance tasks, and support repair activities as needed.
•Work closely with the Control Room Operator, supervisors, and maintenance teams to coordinate plant operations and troubleshoot issues.
•Maintain accurate records of process parameters, equipment status, quality checks, and shift activities.
•Communicate effectively with team members to ensure consistent operations and safe shift handovers.
•Respond to alarms and process deviations, adjusting settings and taking corrective action to maintain steady-state operation.
•Participate in toolbox meetings and follow lockout/tagout procedures as required.
Grinding Area Specific:
•Operate SAG and ball mills, hydrocyclones, and vibrating trash screens to achieve target grind size.
•Monitor and adjust feed rates, density, and mill parameters for efficient grinding performance.
•Support the Met Lab with sampling and grinding circuit quality assessments.
•Implement dust control measures and follow environmental best practices.
Flotation Area Specific:
•Operate and monitor banks of flotation cells, pumps, reagent systems, and related equipment.
•Adjust flotation parameters including reagent dosage, air addition, pH, pulp levels, and froth depth.
•Work with metallurgists to optimize recovery and concentrate quality.
•Assist in collecting and recording process samples and updating parameter sheets regularly.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
•High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in mineral processing is an asset.
•Minimum 3 years of milling experience in a processing plant is required.
•Experience in either grinding (SAG and ball mills) or flotation is required; experience in both areas is considered an asset.
•Strong understanding of mineral processing equipment, including grinding and/or flotation systems, process parameters, and quality control.
•Familiarity with HMIs, DCS, and SCADA systems used in process control.
•Solid knowledge of safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations.
•Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
•Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
•Physically able to perform tasks in a fast-paced industrial setting.
•Basic computer skills for data entry, monitoring, and reporting.
•Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
