Rainy River Mine
Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open pit, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.
The Rainy River Mine, located adjacent to the Ontario / Minnesota border is 65 Kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. If you enjoy outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, winter sports and lake country then this is an area you will love to live and work in.
Applicants who reside in Northwestern Ontario and have experience working in a cross-cultural environment, coupled with knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities presented to those living in the Northwest Ontario, are assets. Position Reports To: Senior Asset Reliability Specalist
Under the general direction from the Senior Asset Reliability Specialist this position is the link between the Fixed Plant Maintenance and Warehouse teams. Over $20M in goods transfer between the teams annually and this position is required to keep the goods flowing in an organized, documented, and timely manner. This position is also responsible to coordinate component core returns and repairable materials.
- Responsible for the repair and return process of maintenance components (repair/return of stock/direct charge components)
- Manage weekly and shutdown material staging areas
- Maintain materials staging areas in clean and organized manner
- Monitor material returns tagging process (stock/repair/core)
- Assist Maintenance Planners and Scheduler with material tracking and planning
- Manage the long-term planning and staging of components (update work orders of material locations)
- Maintain and update goods movement trackers (SharePoint, excel)
- Complete shipping requests for core and repairable components
- Review maintenance schedule and coordinate with warehouse to plan for parts and components
- Receive parts and components from warehouse and stage for maintenance team
- Attend required work management meetings
- Collaborate with the Shutdown Coordinator and Maintenance Supervision during shutdowns to ensure components are available for contractors to complete maintenance work
- Grade 12 diploma
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an industrial setting preferred
- Previous SAP experience is an asset
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while delivering superior results.
- Proven track record showing a commitment to health and safety and to environmental protection.
