We are seeking a Mid- to Senior-Level Engineer (Civil, Mining, Environmental).

Description Of Responsibilities

SRK is seeking a self-motivated mid- to senior-level

Engineer

(Civil, Mining, Environmental) to join a diverse team of consulting experts to support domestic and international mining projects. This is a unique opportunity to help build and sustain the local Alaska practice for an employee-owned global mining consultancy.

- Execution and technical participation in civil design for mine waste and water engineering, permitting, and closure projects

- Project management of technical deliverables, budgets, and schedules

- Participation in conceptual through detailed design and permitting processes

- Preparation and review of supporting engineering calculations, models, methods

- Interface with clients and completion of site visits / inspections as necessary

- Active engagement in development and/or advancement of SRK`s engineering practice

- Active engagement and participation in business development

- Active engagement in mentoring others

- Other duties as assigned

Essential Requirements

- A bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mining Engineering or a related field

- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Alaska or ability to obtain registration

- Minimum 5 years of experience in the mining industry; professional consulting services a plus

- Ability and desire to collaborate with other technical specialists in mining, geochemistry, geotechnics, groundwater and environmental disciplines in a team-oriented environment

- Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills

- Strong inter-personal communication and writing skills

- Proficiency in civil engineering design software and methodologies (Civil3D preferred)

Consultant (3-8 years - $80,000-$110,000)

Senior Consultant (8-15 years - $100,000-$160,000)

Principal Consultant (15+ - $120,000-$200,000+)
