Hazen and Sawyer is seeking mid-level engineers for our South Florida Offices for a variety of water-related assignments in various engineering disciplines (e.g., Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Structural, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:
•Participation in the evaluation, planning, and design of water, wastewater, stormwater, reuse, and infrastructure projects
•Participating in a project team from the initial study and conceptual design stages through to the construction of major water related infrastructure projects
•Fieldwork and site visits from design through construction may be required
•Other responsibilities may include:
+ Project management of a large project or several small projects
+ Client development and management supported by our local offices
+ Planning, organizing, and supervising staff of engineers on projects
Required Qualifications:
•PE license (FL preferred or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months of employment)
•5-10 years of experience in planning, design, or construction of water-related projects
•Experience related to preparing conceptual/feasibility studies, development of construction drawings and specifications, bidding assistance, and support of office and field-related construction services
•Familiarity with engineering and construction management software
•Capable of supervising staff and managing small projects
•Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, and be capable of interacting effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies
•Proficiency in computer software typically used (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
•Strong organizational skills
•B.S. degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
•Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. program (other engineering degrees considered case by case)
•Proficiency in GIS, CAD/BIM, BioWin, PowerBI, and other software
