Expected salary range of $157,500 to $175,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Primary Purpose Of Position
Provides leadership, coaching, and supervision of Non-Destructive Evaluation Services (NDES) staff personnel. Manages Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) implementation of personnel and overall work execution of all Clean Energy Centers (CECs) assigned. Directly supervises Sr Site NDE Specialists, Site NDE Specialists, and Site NDE Technicians as applicable. Optimizes workload and resources (equipment, personnel, procedures, records, etc.) across the assigned CECs in the most efficient, economical manner. Ensures consistent approach, standards, and expectations across the assigned CECs for the performance of NDE so that all regulatory commitments are implemented in the most economic fashion. Ensures an annual budget is prepared and approved to complete all required NDE examinations for each CEC assigned.
Primary Duties And Accountabilities
- Provides leadership, coaching, and supervision of NDE staff for the management of NDE implementation at assigned CEC.
- Directly supervises Sr Site NDE Specialists, Site NDE Specialists, Site NDE Technicians and NDE Planning.
- Oversee NDE implementation to ensure resources are optimized across the assigned CECs in the most efficient, economical manner.
- Ensures corporate and site on-line and outage NDE budgets are prepared and approved.
- Perform contract management and evaluation of NDE contractors
- Travel is required for benchmarking, team meetings, and support of outages within the Constellation CECs.
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in Non-Destructive Evaluation or Nuclear Engineering Programs (American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Section XI NDE programs) OR
- Associate's degree with 10 years of experience in Non-Destructive Evaluation or Nuclear Engineering Programs (ASME Section XI NDE programs) OR
- High school diploma/GED with 12 years of experience in Non-Destructive Evaluation or Nuclear Engineering Programs (ASME Section XI NDE programs)
- Leadership experience on large projects
- Knowledge in ASME XI nuclear programs related to non-destructive evaluation applications (In-Service Inspection, Flow Accelerated Corrosion, Snubber inspections, Generic Letter 89-13, Boiling Water Reactor Vessel Inspection Program BWRVIP, Materials Reliability Programs MRP, etc.)
- Level III NDE certification
- Knowledgeable in contract/finance
- Project Management experience
