Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)

Analyzes meteorological data to prepare reports and forecasts considering the weather's impact on energy markets across North America. Studies and interpret maps, synoptic reports, and charts to forecast lead times from now-casting severe weather events to seasonal outlooks. Supports traders by providing accurate, up to date, and innovative historical and forecasted weather information that will assist them in making well-informed trading decisions. Provides short, medium and long-range forecasts daily considering the impact renewable technologies will have on our markets. Monitor and analyze weather patterns and provide information and updates periodic updates; create seasonal hydro outlooks; and help BCMT decide on severe weather impacts to our geographically diverse plants and offices.
