We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Metal Sorting Specialist to join our team at Metalico in Akron, Ohio, a leading full-service scrap metal recycler in the Northeastern United States. The ideal candidate will have industry experience in scrap metal recycling and possess excellent customer service skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
Summary:
The Metal Sorting Specialist will grade, purchase, and sort all types of copper, aluminum, brass, steel, etc. This fast-paced role requires efficient multi-tasking to handle customers at a number of platform and truck scales. This position will assist in unloading trucks, effectively learn the yard layout, and move metal around on a fork truck. A high level of customer service and a willingness to learn about various metals and their value are required.
Essential Job Functions:
Will perform the following:* Grade and sort incoming materials according to policy and procedures.Benefits:* Life Insurance – $25,000 (100% employer paid).
To be successful in this role, you must have:* A high school diploma or equivalent.
Work Hours:* This is a day shift position, typical hours are 7 am – 4:30 pm.
