Delivery Driver/Installer

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and professional Metal Shelving Driver & Installer to join our team. This position requires frequent travel across Southern California to deliver, assemble, and install metal shelving at commercial and industrial sites. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and be comfortable interacting with vendors, customers, site supervisors, and business owners.

Key Responsibilities:

- Safely transport metal shelving units and related materials to various job sites across Southern California.

- Professionally install and assemble shelving units according to specifications, ensuring stability, accuracy, and safety.

- Read and interpret installation plans, blueprints, or schematics as needed.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area at job sites and in company vehicles.

- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, vendors, property managers, general contractors, and business owners.

- Confirm delivery schedules and installation timelines with clients or project managers.

- Complete daily logs, delivery paperwork, and customer documentation accurately and on time.

- Inspect tools, equipment, and vehicles regularly and report maintenance needs.

- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies while on-site and in transit.

Qualifications:

- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.

- Proven experience in delivery, installation, or construction is preferred.

- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy shelving units and materials (up to 75 lbs).

- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

- Excellent time management and organizational skills.

- Clear verbal and written communication skills.

- Must be dependable, punctual, and customer-service oriented.

- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools required for installation.

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.

Work Conditions:

- Travel throughout Southern California is required (company vehicle provided).

- Outdoor and indoor job sites in commercial and industrial environments.

Compensation:

Competitive pay based on experience. Benefits may include health insurance, paid time off, and company vehicle use during work hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
