We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication processes, including welding and assembly, and the ability to read blueprints effectively. This role is essential for producing high-quality metal components used in various applications, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.

Responsibilities

•

Fabricate metal components according to specifications and blueprints.

•

Assemble ductwork and other metal structures with precision.

•

Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including stick welding and soldering.

•

Operate forklifts and other machinery safely to transport materials as needed.

•

Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.

•

Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.

•

Collaborate with team members to improve fabrication processes and efficiency.

Skills

•

Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings.

•

Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques.

•

Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments.

•

Experience in operating forklifts safely within a manufacturing environment.

•

Skilled in various welding methods, including stick welding and soldering.

•

Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

•

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

•

Metal Fabrication Knowledge: Understanding of basic metal fabrication processes like cutting, grinding, and fitting.

Hand Tool Proficiency: Ability to use hand tools like calipers, rulers, and measuring tapes accurately.

Attention to Detail: High level of precision and focus to ensure consistent weld quality.

•

Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and maneuver heavy metal components.

Work Environment:

Typically in a fabrication shop environment with exposure to noise, heat, and fumes from welding processes.

•

May involve working in various positions, including standing, bending, and crouching.
