Role Description
An experienced MEP/Electrical Superintendent will join the client’s Owner’s Team on a 3–4 month contract to oversee utility terminations, disconnects, and relocations. Working directly on site at the client’s project located near Cripple Creek, CO, you’ll partner with the client’s Project Manager to ensure safe, on-schedule execution of 13.2 kV overhead power, natural gas, fresh water, sewer, and IT infrastructure scopes. You will own assigned work packages and act as the primary technical liaison between the client, contractors, and design engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the site-based Project Manager with planning and sequencing of utility terminations, disconnects, and relocations
- Lead installation, testing, and commissioning activities for:
- 2 kV overhead power systems
- Natural gas distribution and metering
- Fresh water and sewer connections
- IT cabling terminations and network relocations
- Manage assigned scopes/work packages, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and safety standards
- Coordinate daily with contractors, subcontractors, and design engineers to resolve technical issues in real time
- Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety audits specific to electrical and mechanical trades
- Verify quality of workmanship and compliance with client specifications, codes, and HSEQ requirements
- Prepare and maintain field documentation, progress reports, and turnover packages for completed scopes
- Facilitate site meetings, escalate critical issues, and propose corrective actions to the Project Manager
- Minimum 10 years of MEP or electrical field leadership on industrial or commercial projects
- Proven expertise in 13.2 kV overhead power systems and medium-voltage terminations
- Hands-on experience with natural gas, water/sewer, and structured cabling infrastructure
- Strong ability to interpret electrical and MEP drawings, schematics, and P&IDs
- Exceptional communication skills for interfacing with clients, contractors, and design teams
- Demonstrated track record of delivering work safely, on time, and within contract scope
- Type: 1099 Subcontractor
- Duration: 3–4 months on client site
