This position is part of an Operations Team that operates pipeline and associated facilities as directed; providing controlled delivery of crude in accordance with Company procedures and safety requirements to protect the integrity of the pipeline, the environment and people. Provides mechanical expertise in the continuous monitoring and evaluation of systems and auxiliary equipment. Performs the daily tasks of troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and regulatory inspections of field equipment. Identify specific process improvement needs and provide recommendations for system upgrades and streamlining.

§ Submits appropriate change requests to supervision to correct any deficiencies discovered and create new standard pipeline operating procedures.
§ Ability to work with crude oil and propylene ethylene and finished products gasoline diesel jet fuel and various refined chemicals to ensure that all process system and associated subsystems are operated and maintained efficiently.
§ Continuously evaluate all calibration and maintenance procedures for accuracy and applicability.
§ As required, respond to normal/abnormal operating conditions.
§ Complete all appropriate documentation as required; i.e., permit-to-work requirements, etc.
§ Utilize work orders to manage mechanical work processes to ensure all process equipment and areas are maintained per the scheduled maintenance plan and manage the work orders to meet maintenance requirements.
§ Works closely with the technical support staff and operations staff to maintain system reliability and availability.
§ Maintain and perform repairs on rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps, engines and all related mechanical equipment
§ Maintain and perform required inspections on pressure control equipment
§ Perform maintenance and repairs on end suction, single stage and multistage split case rotating equipment
§ Perform maintenance and repairs on air compressors and other auxiliary equipment
§ Overtime is not scheduled but may occur and is a requirement of job duties
§ Familiarity with stinger crane operation is preferred.
§ 5+ years of experience in a similar position
§ Ability to read Piping and Instrument diagrams
§ Thorough knowledge of the fundamental operating principles of industrial process systems
§ Ability to manage and adapt to change and uncertainty
§ Self-motivated, team oriented with strong interpersonal skills
§ Ability to exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills
· Speak, write, read, hear, and have good vision.
· Ability to work around scents common to the industry and job
· Work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold
· Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of PPE
· Support oneself on a ladder with two feet and one arm extended for up to five minutes
· Extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting
