Mechanical Maintenance Intern

THE POSITION

Central San has an opening in its Operations Department for two Mechanical Maintenance Interns in the Plant Maintenance Division.

These are 40-hour Monday through Friday, temporary positions for a students with junior or senior standing, graduate students, and students who have graduated within the past 12 months. For these positions, a student may also be enrolled in vocational school without junior or senior standing. (i.e. Instrument Tech, Machinist, Mechanical Tech, etc.)

The positions are a six-month commitment starting in January. The assignments will provide an opportunity for a student to apply their academic preparation to practical work experience in a wastewater utility. The interns will perform a variety of tasks in mechanical maintenance of machinery and equipment and assist with corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Students with education and experience in welding, industrial maintenance, machine technology, process technology, or similar fields are preferred.
