Mechanical Insulation Installer

Elite Insulation, Inc. is hiring Mechanical Insulation Installers in the 16-county metro area. Installers will be based out of their residence even though the company is located in Litchfield, MN. The salary range for this position is equal to industry norms. Elite is looking to hire individuals with at least one or more years of experience in commercial and industrial insulation. Mileage Compensation and Travel Time is paid when the criteria for these benefits are met. Job sites are located in the metro area and central Minnesota. Elite Insulation, Inc. is known for its’ work with heat/frost insulation, ductwork insulation, piping insulation, process piping insulation, custom made removable insulation blankets, boiler and mechanical rooms, and pump stations.

Overview:

The Commercial/Industrial Insulation Installer position requires work to be performed indoors and outdoors. The ability to work from ladders and/or lifts is required. Reliable transportation is required and is the responsibility of the installer. You will be working on your own and/or alongside other experienced and dedicated mechanical insulators and be required to cut and install pipe and duct insulation in various environments and conditions.

Responsibilities:

∙ Secure common insulation materials to pipes, ducts, and equipment

∙ Weather proof and finish insulation with field applied jackets and coatings

∙ Insulation and vapor seal for low temperature installations

∙ Operate lifts, beader crimpers, brakes, shears, and hand tools

∙ Order material and equipment

∙ Coordinate with other trades

∙ Follow safety precautions

∙ Cleanup projects continuously

Qualifications:

∙ At least one year of experience with mechanical (commercial/industrial) insulation materials and installation

∙ Shop math skills for calculating areas and quantity of materials

∙ Ability to read a tape measure

∙ Ability to work at heights using a lift or ladder

∙ Ability to lift 75 lbs.

∙ Must be able to work in outside weather, hot or cold inside conditions, or compact spaces

∙ Willingness to work a flexible schedule

∙ Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance and registration

∙ Display interest in continuing to learn and develop skills as a craftsman

∙ Self-starter capable of working on your own without daily supervision
