Job Summary
Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Perform work under moderate supervision. Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects and contribute to process improvements. Frequently use and apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and expertise to perform routine & non-routine assignments.
Responsibilities:
•Provide engineering support on drilling equipment
•Conceptualize design solutions
•Interpret and apply technical specifications
•Research and select buyout parts and materials for designs
•Create / check design layouts, detail & assembly drawings, bills-of-material, tolerance studies and parts lists
•Produce / check calculations, stress analysis, technical specifications, product information bulletins, service manuals, and design files
•Support new product design and identify product improvements
•Disposition NCR’s and ECR’s
•Create 3D models and 2D drawings to acceptable drafting standards
•Lead meetings across diverse technical groups
•Perform other work-related tasks as assigned
•Comply with all NOV policies and procedures
Requirements:
•Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
•Minimum 4 years’ industry experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering
•Exhibit analytical and moderate critical thinking skills
