Mechanical Engineer - Engine/ Power Installation and Cooling Systems

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Investigate and resolve assembly line issues for Engine/Power Installation and Cooling Systems across multiple machine product groups (trucks, loaders, and scrapers).

· Work on hoses, tube design and casting design.

· Spend half the day at computer and half the day out in the factory.

· 1st responder to any assembly line issues.

· Problem solving any issues that arise.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Accredited Engineering University or equivalent.

· New graduate and internship experience is acceptable.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Understanding of engineering BOM structure.

· Ability to view and manipulate machine computer models.

· Understanding of mechanical systems, tolerance stack up and bolted joint analysis.

· Familiarity with TeamCenter, Solidworks and Creo.

· SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling tool knowledge.

· Background in product design but not too picky on the designing mobile equipment or toasters.

· Large mining trucks and dump trucks experience (specifically, installation and cooling).

· Ability to troubleshoot and find issue resolutions.

SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Clear communicator.

· Willing to interact with the shop personnel to understand the assembly concerns.

· Collaborate on the best solution.

· Self-starter.

· Proactive to resolve issues urgently.
