Summary Of Position
Maintain and repair H-Pumps. Mechanics will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of pumps. This individual will report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
The following represents most of the position's duties but is not meant to be all-inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary. Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory, environmental, and safety rules and standards, as well as corporate policies.
As a Mechanic, You Will Be Responsible For
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Completing oversight of company owned H-Pumps, daily.
- Replacing and re-aligning thrust chambers, as needed.
- Replacing and re-aligning electrical motors, as needed.
- Replacing water and oil seals, as needed.
- Ensuring proper maintenance procedures are followed at all times.
- Reporting safety/environmental issues to management.
- Understanding and adhering to all Safety and Environmental rules and regulations.
- Performing any other tasks assigned by a supervisor as the need arises.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- 3-5 years’ experience working on H-Pumps required.
- Must have knowledge and ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various brands of H-Pumps.
- Have experience diagnosing, repairing, realigning, and replacing thrust chambers, water seals, oil seals, and electrical motors.
- Have knowledge of centrifugal pump and PD (Positive Displacement) is highly desirable.
- Must be able to use technology and digital tools (iPhone, computer programs, etc.).
- Must live in Orla, Texas, or within a 60-mile radius of Orla, Texas, or live in Pecos, Texas, or within a 30-mile radius of Pecos, TX
- Company-paid housing will be provided during your working shift.
- Operates in a field environment.
- May be subject to environments that are extreme in nature, such as heat, cold, etc.
- The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to:
- Standing, walking, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Walking on uneven and vegetated terrain.
- Working at heights up to 35 feet as needed.
- Climbing steps at a 45-degree angle up to 35 feet.
- Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and must be able to carry a self-contained breathing apparatus if needed. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- This is a full-time position.
- 10/4 (10 days on 4 days off), 11/3 (11 days on 3 days off), 11/4 (11 days on 4 days off), or (14 days on 7 days off) Rotational Schedule
- Depending on the rotational schedule, must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
- Day and night shifts are available
- 10–12-hour shifts
- Occasional call-outs at night
- West Texas (Northern Delaware Basin)
- Orla, TX
- Eastern New Mexico (Delaware Basin)
- Carlsbad, NM
- West Texas (Southern Delaware Basin)
- Pecos, TX
