Mechanic (Diesel Heavy Equipment) - Traveling

Summary

At Hi-Way Paving, we specialize in concrete paving, storm drainage, and excavation for highways and airfields. While we may not have immediate openings, we are always looking for skilled Heavy Equipment/Diesel Mechanics to join our team.

We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for repairing and maintaining trucks, trailers, and heavy construction equipment to keep our job sites running smoothly.

This position is based in Columbia, SC, but it requires flexibility to travel up to 100% to our projects in Charlotte, NC; Nashville, TN; and other future site locations TBD.

Hi-Way Paving, Inc. is a general contractor in the heavy/civil construction space focusing on projects involving significant amounts of concrete paving on airfields.

We operate in several southeastern and midwestern states with current job sites in Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina as well as corporate/back office operations in Ohio (our headquarters) and remote locations. We perform most of our work and services as a prime contractor but occasionally serve as a subcontractor on principal contracts with federal, state, and other governmental agencies as well as private owners.
