The Materials Analyst position handles materials requirements to ensure parts availability for the production schedules while maintaining inventory levels to the prescribed days-on-hand goals. This includes analyzing future demand and consumption to ensure commodities are readily available for production needs by using our MRP/ERP systems, kanban/pull systems, and by expediting material as required. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for driving improvements in the material processes and will work as a part of the team to ensure customer happiness and timely delivery. The position requires a significant interface with Suppliers, Customer Service, Production, Procurement, Quality, and Engineering.


As a Materials Analyst, You Will:

Manages MRP/ERP systems to ensure timely receipt of materials to meet production schedules

Supervises progress of materials and expedites as the need arises
Manages Kanbans/Pull Systems to meet production and inventory targets
Handles inventory levels of assigned parts/commodities to meet inventory goals
Coordinates Engineering and Supplier Changes with the appropriate Corporate groups
Leads new part introductions
Runs supplier returns
Participates in cost reduction and continuous improvement activities
Cross-trains in other positions in the department


Required Education, Experience & Skills:

Four (4) year degree plus one (1) year related experience (Co-op experience is acceptable)

Strong computer skills (Excel)
Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Oracle/SAP)
Capable of using Lean tools such as Kanban/Pull Systems, Value Stream Mapping, and Perfect Execution Strategies
Knowledge of Manufacturing Operations, MRP systems, shop floor controls, Supply Chain methodology, Lean and Perfect Execution
Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role


Schedule

This role is based onsite Monday-Friday with the general working hours of 8 am - 5 pm CST.

About Our Location

Alliance Compressors LLC develops, manufactures, and markets one through six-ton scroll compressors. Scroll compressors are used in commercial and residential air conditioning units. The current facility is over 365,000 square feet of manufacturing space and over 35,000 square feet of office space. This climate-controlled facility is the third-largest manufacturing business in the area, and offers its 650+ employees many opportunities for advancement.
