Job Description
Demonstrate proficiency with the use of automatic equipment and forklifts. Assures accurate movement of all material, proper labeling and location storing of items. Deliver both raw materials and purchased items to the production areas as needed. Transport all job materials to correct work centers.
Job Responsibilities & Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Operate forklifts (with proper training); execute daily inspection of the lift.
•Perform routine quality control functions on finished goods (i.e. thickness, gauge, width, and coating measurements, etc.).
•Transport finished goods to the staging area of the warehouse
•Attendance at work during the regularly scheduled shift is an essential duty. This includes, but is not limited to the ability to work overtime as required, to be present at work, arrive on time and be at the work station ready for work at the start of the shift.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
•Education: High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Other Requirements: Must have an outstanding safety record and follow all safety policies and procedures. Participate in safety training and meetings. Maintain clean and safe work area. Report all injuries/accidents near misses immediately to supervisor or a member of management. Report all unsafe acts and conditions. Use equipment and materials properly. Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Monitor own work to ensure quality. Apply feedback to improve performance. Look for ways to improve and promote quality.
