Position: Material Handler

Job Description

Brief Description of Position: General Warehouse duties include loading of customer trucks, loading of Service Steel trucks, receiving and moving incoming material to correct stocking locations. Maintain a clean work environment. Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to company standards. Operate processing equipment includes metal shear, metal band saws and plate burning machine.

Detailed Description & Expectations

Moving & handling material: Safely load and unloading metal with cranes & forklifts from trucks and stocking areas.

Strap and fastening material: Banding and fastening material.

Clean & organization: Maintain and clean, organized, and safe working environment. Material must be kept and stored in the correct place.

Processing material: Cutting, sawing, & burning material accurately and safely.

Recording processing: Completing and filling out “cut sheets” correctly

Reliability: come to and be at Service Steel & Pipe during the correct working hours.

Safety: keep safety first and follow SS&P safety guidelines and policies

Teamwork: practice teamwork & work positively with team members.

Work environment: position will be mostly under cover outside

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $22.00 per hour
