This is an entry level position to manufacturing, however, prior experience working in manufacturing would be a plus. We are willing to train the right person as long as you can show up to work, have a positive attitude, and care about what you do.
The material handler's main responsibility is to keep the machines running. By reading and understanding work instructions/routers, the material handler will pick material to feed the lasers, unload finished parts off the lasers, move the flat parts onto the next manufacturing process until parts have gone through the full manufacturing process, all while keeping the shop floor organized. In-between moving material this person will be responsible for helping with shipping and receiving by getting finished parts ready to be shipped out or by receiving in deliveries.
Must be able to stand/walk 8 hours per day and regularly lift 50 lbs. If you don't have 1 year of work history with 1 employer please don't apply.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work 1st shift Monday - Friday (6 a.m. - 2 p.m.)
- Operate Forklift
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to do simple math mentally
- Determine placement of material based on work orders/routings
- Locate material by pulling and verifying material
- Making sure all the centers have work
- Verify all items match their work order/router
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Demonstrates good verbal communication with team members
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
