Overview
Moves, unloads, loads, pulls, and stores material from the loading platform, warehouse, production floor, storage locations, or outside storage facilities by carrying, pushing, rolling, or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors or other material handling equipment as required by the department to facilitate production, storage, or shipping operations. May pack, crate, secure, label and weigh customer orders or manufacturing orders as required to prepare for shipping, storage, or transportation.
Responsibilities
•Generates pick lists, packs, and pull parts to ship.
•Processes Fed Ex and UPS shipments.
•Creates bill of ladings both domestic and international.
•Receives material and products.
•Moves material within the warehouse, production floor or outside storage facility by carrying, pushing, rolling or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, motorized conveyors or other material handling equipment as required by the department to facilitate production, storage, or shipping operations, loading trucks.
•Build wooden crates, if necessary, using measuring tapes, table saw and nail guns.
•May complete required cycle counts.
•Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
•High School diploma or GED
•2- 5 years’ related experience in warehouse and material handling in a manufacturing environment required.
•Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to change.
•Ability to do math involving fractions, decimals, geometry, and measuring methods.
•Excellent computer skills, Microsoft office, and shipping software.
•Able to work within a team environment.
•Ability to comprehend internal documents and compare orders being handled.
•Experience with EPICOR to complete shipping and inventory transactions preferred or other ERP System experience.
•Must be able to operate a forklift as well as a high lift. Previous forklift and crane experience required.
•Ability to operate table saw, nail guns, and build shipping containers.
•Must be able to interact with other team members daily.
