Material Coordinator

Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the field superintendent, the shop/yard coordinator is responsible for overseeing all personnel and equipment coming onto the yard; will ship, receive, and deliver materials, parts and equipment; maintain inventory control and records; support maintenance of the company building, equipment and grounds; conducts health, safety, and environmental (HSE) related duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Maintain accountability and organization of shop and equipment in the yard.

- Prepare material transfer order for all equipment removed from the yard.

- Log all incoming and exiting vehicles that come onto the yard.

- Conducts weekly inventory of parts and equipment in shop and/or yard.

- Deliver parts, tools and equipment to work locations as required.

- Perform loading and unloading of equipment using a 966 loader or similar and forklift as required

- Provides administrative support to the maintenance program (MP2).

- Conducts HSE related duties including:

- Participates in weekly HSE meetings for Deadhorse Yard personnel

- Conduct bird strike audits

- SAA/RAA Management procedure requirements

- Weekly HSE Walkthroughs and reports

- Maintains HSE related documents including procedures, work area manuals, HSE statistics, OSHA Logs

- Performs monthly fire extinguisher inspections and arranges for annuals

- Arranges for proper disposal of wastes

- Trains workers who may operate the forklift

- Follows and enforces all fluid transfers

- Performs daily spill prevention inspections

- Maintains the yard including removing trash and debris. Follows snow removal procedure

- Reports all HSE related nonconformance’s per the DDI Corrective Action program

- Provides site orientations

- Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- High school diploma or equivalent

- 1 or more years of oilfield experience

- 2 years of warehouse experience

- Valid driver’s license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- North Slope experience

- Cat 966 loader experience

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to extreme weather conditions both on and off shore. Temperatures reach as low as 50 degrees below zero during the winter months. Employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places, extreme heat and high noise levels. Employee will be required to work at various heights on the rig. Employee will work in an environment where there is risk that they will be exposed to toxic, caustic and/or hazardous chemicals, fumes or airborne particles. Workers are required to wear personal protective equipment while on the job.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

An individual will be required to work the majority of hours in a remote industrial environment, and will need to be able to quickly respond to a change in work demands.
