Job Description
Biztec is seeking an experienced Master Electrician to join our team.
A master electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. They must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics, as well as possess a working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. Master electricians typically work in commercial or industrial settings, but may also work in residential settings. They must be able to safely use power tools and equipment, and have strong problem-solving skills.
Job Responsibilities
•
Plan, layout, and install electrical systems and components in compliance with local codes and ordinances.
•
Inspect completed installations for conformance to code and safety standards.
•
Investigate complaints about electrical systems or components, and make repairs as necessary.
•
Maintain records of maintenance and repair work performed on electrical systems or components.
•
Respond to emergency calls to repair downed power lines or restore power in homes or businesses during power outages.
Required Qualifications
•
A master electrician is a journeyman electrician who has passed an examination to receive a master electrician's license. S/he is allowed to perform all electrical work, including design, installation, maintenance, and repair.
•
Several years of experience working as journeyman electricians before taking the exam to become licensed.
•
Must have experience with working with high voltage, able to install cabling for door installations, and able to wire electronic door strikes.
•
Able to travel 75% of the time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
