Job Overview
We are seeking a licensed electrician to join our team. Candidate must posses electrical licenses for Porter, Laporte, Lake, and St Josephs County. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, including experience with commercial and industrial applications. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints, troubleshooting electrical issues.
Responsibilities
•As a Master Electrician with valid Porter, Laporte, Lake, and St Josephs County electrical license, your primary responsibility will be to assist our team in obtaining electrical permits for solar and battery projects in the area. Your role will ensure that all electrical work is legally permitted, compliant with safety codes, and completed to the highest standards. You will provide oversight and consultation on projects requiring your expertise, but your main focus will be on the permit acquisition process.
Responsibilities:
•Use your Master Electrician license to help the company obtain necessary electrical permits for residential, commercial, and industrial projects
•Review electrical plans and ensure they comply with local regulations and codes
•Collaborate with project managers to ensure projects are in line with permitted designs
•Act as the point of contact for all inspections and regulatory requirements related to permits
•Provide occasional consultations and oversight to junior electricians and other team members
•Ensure timely submission of permit applications and responses to any related inquiries from local authorities
•Maintain proper documentation of permits and approvals for all projects
•Be available for site visits or inspections as needed for permit compliance
Qualifications:
•Must posses electrical licenses for Porter, Laporte, Lake, and St Josephs County
•Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed electricians
•In-depth knowledge of local electrical codes and permit requirements in NW Indiana
•Proven ability to work efficiently with local permitting agencies and inspectors
•Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, clients, and contractors
•Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate permit applications and inspections
•Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Experience
•Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician or Industrial Electrician is preferred.
•Familiarity with high voltage systems and logic controllers is a plus.
•Proficient in using hand tools and electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters.
•Strong understanding of NEC regulations and safety protocols.
•Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings effectively.
•Experience in frame carpentry is beneficial but not required.
