The Master Die Corrector is a vital role in the success of Profile Custom Extrusions. This person must be flexible and able to change and adapt to new designs, new correction methods, and changes to paperwork requirements. A Master Die Corrector is a highly skilled tradesperson responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving extrusion dies and other tooling used in the manufacturing process. They ensure dies produce high quality parts by analyzing performance, making necessary modifications, and troubleshooting issues. This role requires a deep understanding of die design, machining techniques, and the extrusion process, along with strong problem-solving skills and communication skills.
- Must have 13 years of Die Correction experience
- Must have a full understanding of die design on both hollow and solid shapes
- Must have a full understanding of flow and how to correct flow with mills, lathes, choke, and relief
- Must be able to fill out paperwork on any corrections made
- Must have good attendance
- Must be able to lift dies into vice and perform corrections
- Must be able to work and run caustic when required
