Basic Function
The Master Data Specialist will be responsible for leading the master data process and day-to-day operations to ensure the integrity and maintain master data elements for specified ERP modules, including data setup, maintenance and approval.
The Master Data Specialist will manage data in multiple systems including SAP, Esker and SalesForce. Master data will include, but not limited to, data regarding vendors, customers, products and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Support master data initiatives as required by the business, including special projects, ERP implementation, and on-going data cleansing
- Understand Omya business processes and forms completion
- Coordinate and support master data maintenance, data integrity initiatives
- Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, timeliness and management of master data within the SAP R3 System. Compliance with business standards and procedures, continuously improving data standards, quality, reporting and processes that incudes input, change functions, auditing and data cleansing.
- Ensure consistency in master data between SalesForce and SAP.
- Create and maintain Material Master Data in SAP
- Act as a key contact for problem resolution and initiate data corrective actions based on performing/reporting data audit analysis
- Manage mass updates as required
- Analyze existing processes and suggest improvements
- Provide backup duties as needed.
- Provide training to Key Users related to master data activities.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
AS degree or certification from secondary education preferred. SAP experience is required.
SalesForce experience is preferred. Preferred experience in data entry role and specific knowledge around SAP Master Data management (various modules such as Material Data, Customer, Vendor, Service & Repair etc.)
Excellent data entry/computer systems skills and word processing skills - including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Strong analytical thinking, methodical problem-solving skills and ability to determine root cause of issues. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Self-starter and quick thinker willing to take immediate action, pursue stakeholders and perform tasks to get the job done with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
