Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. (PCLI), an HF Sinclair company is seeking a Marketing Performance Manager. The Marketing Performance Manager, reporting to the VP, Global Marketing, drives the effectiveness of marketing efforts by measuring, analyzing, and optimizing performance to ensure strong ROI and business growth. This role shapes strategic direction for the Lubricants & Specialties (L&S) business, identifying high-impact opportunities and guiding the implementation of segment and product strategies. Acting as a key link between marketing execution and business outcomes, the Marketing Performance Manager leverages data to inform decisions, lead portfolio innovation, and enhance operational processes. They also oversee governance and reporting of the segment management processes, and stakeholder collaboration to maximize value across customers, distributors, and the organization.
Job Duties
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Strategic Planning and Support
•+ Lead, in conjunction with senior sales and technology stakeholders, the assessment and development of global strategic plans for segment and product portfolio in priority (GROW) target segments driving growth; resulting in the delivery of revenue targets of associated margin and EBITDA targets for HF Sinclair
+ Act as a marketing lead for Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and other stewardship processes
+ Lead annual segment planning activities in conjunction with sales, finance and technology to prioritize all projects for L&S organization
•Performance Analysis & Reporting
•+ Provides Leadership team progress reports and KPI’s on key projects including SKU optimization, pricing and product cost activities and impact on integrated margin ratios Integrated Margin. Use data to evaluate whether strategies are working or need adjustment
+ Stewardship of pricing change implementation with pricing team and relevant sales stakeholders. Guides process and implements optimization of tools and reporting
+ Sales Performance and Data Analysis; analyze historical sales
data: Understand which Segments are performing well and which are underperforming and make recommendations for corrective action. Hold segment and sales managers accountable to targets and expectations
•Budget and Product Line Management
•+ Oversee marketing planning and budgeting and ensure related projects are completed on time and within budget.
+ Oversee the overall category management including portfolio management, PLC Process and annual financial planning process with sales and finance leadership to deliver a cross functionally aligned financial plan by critical business segment.
+ Act as lead marketing member with additive companies on major marketing product line projects.
•+ Audit preparation and reporting
•+ Manage the PLM process (Brightideas) and speed to market. Participate in relevant audits pertaining to product launches.
•+ Work with segment leads to ensure accurate documentation of project creation, development, and execution versus business goals
•+ Work with the Marketing Insights Manager to identify and mitigate potential business risks as relates to competitive threats or new market opportunities
•+ Work closely with multiple internal teams such as procurement, sales, supply chain, manufacturing, finance and technology to ensure alignment on objectives and execution of strategies. As well as gather insights, resolve issues, and manage competing priorities to ensure segment goals are met
Experience
•A minimum of ten years of on-the-job experience specifically related to the job are required (B2B Marketing and/or Product / Category Management)
•Experience in B2B Marketing - Proven track record in leading large-scale projects
•Experience of broad, category and supply chain management in complex, global environments.
•Proven track record in business and market analysis whilst developing effective strategies to deliver value.
•Experience managing and working with multiple cross functional teams.
•Strong analytical and financial acumen
•Ability to translate science/technology into marketing communications is an asset
•Experience of CRM (SalesForce)
•Ability to work alongside senior leaders and stakeholders
•Proficient use of data visualization tools e.g. Tableau, Power BI
•Managing and Reporting of Commercial (sales and Marketing) KPI’s and translating into action
•Experience and knowledge in lubricants and specialty-based products is preferred
•Direct Sales / Inside sale experience is an asset
Education Level
•A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a technical, business or related field, is required

•Strategic Mindset: able to align business objectives and plans to business strategies, customer needs and brand. Lead product development both globally and regionally to analyze a business challenge and develop an appropriate strategy
•Marketing aptitude - (i.e., pricing, promotions/advertising, supplier management) - understands the direct, distributors and associates sales environment; to identify significant competitive issues such as product, technology issues which may impact on the product categories.
•Market Intelligence – proven experience in scanning product & market and leveraging relationships to understand market and consumer trends. To map market analysis and product line profitability analysis
•Relationship Building Skills - ability to form partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. With effective communication and presentation skills
•People & Stakeholder Management - Experience in managing people and/or teams and influencing senior stakeholders (internal and external), both globally and on a regional level.
•A unique blend of business (commercial and financial) and technical savvy to recognize new opportunities, prioritize based on financial assessment, define the commercial development strategy and deliver on the tools to achieve success
•A big picture visionary and the drive to make that vision reality
•Comfortable making decisions based on both facts and judgement
•The ability to take technical information and translate it into terms that our existing and potential customers will easily understand
•An understanding of supply and distribution and refining procedures is an asset
Work Conditions
•Office based (4 days in office and work from home option on Fridays) at 2310 Lakeshore Road West, Mississauga
•Some travel mostly within North America
