Primary Job Function


This person is responsible for the creating, modifying, and managing production schedules. Monitors inventory levels, regularly providing production status updates to management, and facilitating the timely delivery of products to customers. Closely monitors the production process to ensure that production orders are completed on time and within budget.

Note: This position operates on Day Shift (6:00am-2:45pm)



Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Evaluates purchase orders to create suitable production schedules
Estimates the amount of material, equipment, and labor required for production
Promptly addresses and resolves production issues to minimize delays in production.
Coordinates production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.
Recommends viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality.
Effects changes to production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met.
Compiles status and performance reports and submits them to management in a timely manner.
Promptly informs the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
Follows established safety protocols including required usage of PPE; helps to maintain a safe working environment
Keeps work area clean and organized
Performs other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Minimum skills, knowledge, education, certifications and related job experience that employee typically must have to perform essential functions of the job acceptably.

Proven experience working as a Production Planner.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, other supervisors and customers.
Strong math and measurement skills
Strong attention to detail
Dependability; honesty & integrity; a positive, proactive attitude; ability to use time productively, working with minimal supervision both individually and as part of a team.
Ability to work overtime as required

The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke and temperature extremes within OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels.

Our pay ranges are guided by the discipline, level, and experience required. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on additional factors, including desired skills/ technical competency, relevant experience, and advanced education/ training.

Signing Bonus

To welcome you to our team and show our commitment to your success, we are offering a signing bonus of $500.00! This bonus will be awarded in two installments, 50% upon successful completion of probationary period and the balance paid upon completion of one year of service with IMC.
