The Opportunity:
Do you have prior manufacturing plant experience either as a Journeyman or 3rd year Apprentice Millwright who is looking to challenge your skills with a rewarding career with an established Oilfield Artificial Lift Systems company. The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician is a member of the Supply Chain team focused on the reliability of the manufacturing facility and related equipment.
Your Responsibilities:
In alignment with the Lifting Solutions culture, mission, vision and values, you will be responsible to:
Maintenance
•Performing checks & inspections, and continually optimizing the PM program
•Work closely with Manufacturing Operators to troubleshoot process issues.
•Perform equipment repairs
•Installation and modification of manufacturing equipment
•Operation of manufacturing processing equipment
Quality
•Ensure equipment is maintained with a focus of the impact to product quality.
•Ensure accuracy of documentation and product traceability
•Comply with quality processes, programs, and policies.
•Identify and recommend improvements; participate in continuous improvement processes.
Safety
•Ensure equipment is maintained with a focus on safe operating condition.
•Comply with safety processes, programs, and policies.
•Actively participate and support LSI’s safety culture
•Safety-minded individual who is committed and passionate about developing his or her skills through the participation in ongoing internal and external technical training.
Your Qualifications and Experience:
•Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
•2-5 years of experience within a manufacturing facility
•Troubleshooting and repairing pumps, cooling towers and water system
•Experience with overhead cranes and mobile equipment.
•Experience with heat treating, including inductions heaters.
•Understanding of electrical systems including PLC’s
•Proven organizational and time-management skills
•Rebuilding of gearboxes, roll cases, fans and drive systems including alignments.
•Ability to perform maintenance welds and undertake small fabrication projects.
•Experience shot peening, and continuous rod and PCP manufacturing is considered an asset.
•Knowledge of manufacturing, quality, and safety processes
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
