Job Summary
We are seeking a Manufacturing Document Control Specialist to support our production and quality teams by managing and maintaining critical documentation. This role requires a highly detail-oriented and solutions-driven individual with strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of document control best practices, revision control, and manufacturing processes within an ISO 9001 environment.
Key Responsibilities:
•Manage the lifecycle of manufacturing documentation, ensuring compliance with internal standards, ISO 9001 requirements, and customer specifications.
•Implement and uphold document control procedures to improve consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across departments.
•Maintain revision control of technical documents, drawings, procedures, and work instructions.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to verify that process documentation is accurate, current, and appropriately distributed.
•Assist in internal, customer, and regulatory audits by providing accurate and timely documentation.
•Archive obsolete documents according to company policies and retention schedules.
•Train personnel in document control processes and the proper use of documentation systems.
•Act as a key point of contact for documentation-related inquiries and problem resolution.
Qualifications:
Education:
•High school diploma or equivalent required.
•Associate's degree or higher in Business Administration, Manufacturing Technology, Quality Management, or a related field preferred.
•2+ years of experience as a document control focused on quality.
•Proven experience with document control processes in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
•Strong understanding of revision control and document lifecycle management.
•Experience working in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
•Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
•Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
•High attention to detail with a solutions-oriented mindset.
Technical Skills:
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•Experience using document management systems; Microsoft SharePoint experience is a plus.
•Familiarity with ERP systems, especially SAGE, is a plus.
•Comfortable using and troubleshooting personal computers and common technology platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
•2+ years in a document control or quality-related role in a manufacturing setting.
•Experience supporting or preparing for regulatory and customer audits.
•Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
