As we grow our footprint to better serve customers in the southern region, we’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing/Distribution Manager to lead operations at our new location.

This is a unique opportunity to play a critical leadership role from the ground up—shaping processes, building a team, and establishing a culture of excellence and efficiency. If you’re a hands-on leader with a passion for operational success and team development, we want to hear from you. Help us write the next chapter in Klauer’s legacy of American manufacturing.

Primary Responsibility:

The Manufacturing/Distribution Manager will be responsible for the successful launch, oversight, and day-to-day management of Klauer Manufacturing’s new facility in Tomball, TX. This includes leading all production and warehouse operations, supervising staff, establishing efficient processes, and ensuring the facility meets safety, quality, and delivery standards. The Manager will play a hands-on role in building and sustaining operational excellence, overseeing everything from equipment setup and team development to assisting in machine operations, order fulfillment, and logistics as needed. This position is critical to achieving customer satisfaction, maintaining performance goals, and driving continuous improvement across the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Facility Startup & Planning:

Oversee all aspects of launching the new facility, including site setup, equipment installation, staffing, and process implementation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth and timely facility launch.

Operations Management:

Lead and manage daily operations of both manufacturing and distribution activities within the facility, ensuring alignment with production schedules, quality standards, and customer delivery expectations.
Provide direct supervision and leadership to all facility employees, including production, warehouse, and logistics teams—ensuring accountability, engagement, and alignment with company goals.
Monitor and manage workforce productivity, resource allocation, and shift scheduling to maintain optimal operational flow and performance.
Actively assist in day-to-day activities as needed to ensure smooth operations and meet customer expectations, which may include operating machinery, loading/unloading trucks, coordinating deliveries, and troubleshooting production or logistics issues.
Collaborate with on-site team, home office, and sales team to ensure on-time, accurate deliveries and responsive issue resolution.
Continuously evaluate and improve processes to build long-term operational efficiencies, reduce waste, and maximize throughput without compromising safety or quality.
Identify and implement best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement across all functions.
Maintain and clearly communicate accurate records and reports on production metrics, inventory levels, shipping activities, and employee performance to support data-driven decision-making and inform stakeholders.
Ensure the facility, including building, grounds and equipment is fully equipped, organized, and maintained to operate effectively and safely, with minimal downtime.

Team Leadership:

Hire, train, and manage production and warehouse staff to build a high-performing, safety-first team.
Foster an environment of accountability, teamwork, and professional development.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations, as well as company policies.
Champion workplace safety initiatives and maintain a clean, organized facility.

Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
5–10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, operations, or distribution management.
Demonstrated success in leading facility startups, process improvements, and team leadership.
Strong understanding of manufacturing and distribution operations, supply chain logistics, and inventory systems.
