Manual Lathe Machinist – Pasadena, TX

A growing industrial distribution company is seeking an experienced Manual Lathe Machinist to join our team in Pasadena, Texas. The ideal candidate has a solid background in the manufacturing industry, a strong work ethic, and a passion for precision and quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Set up, adjust, and operate manual lathes to ensure accurate and efficient machining.

- Machine flanges, nipples, and fittings using a 17" x 40" manual lathe.

- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring tools to verify conformance to specifications.

- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure consistent performance.

- Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.

- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED preferred.

- Minimum 10 years of experience operating manual lathes.

- Strong understanding of basic manufacturing and machining processes.

- Working knowledge of quality control procedures and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and procedure manuals.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with coworkers and supervisors.

- Reliable, punctual, and capable of meeting tight production deadlines.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
