Manual Machinist +5 Years Experience Mills, Lathes, Saws, CNC a plus

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in machining and fabrication processes, with a strong understanding of precision measuring instruments. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

- Operate and set up manual milling machines, lathes, and stamping presses to produce high-quality components.

- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications to ensure accurate machining.

- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances.

- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

- Collaborate with team members on assembly lines for efficient production flow.

- Conduct quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process to maintain product standards.

- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment as needed.

- Assist in tooling setup and fabrication processes to meet production demands.

Skills

- Proficient in operation of manual milling machines and lathes.

- Familiarity with Fagor controls a plus.

- Experience with, press brake machines, and stamping presses.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in manufacturing facilities.

- Ability to read blueprints and CAD designs; experience with 3D modeling is a plus.

- Competence in using hand tools for assembly and fabrication tasks.

- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining processes.

- Experience with quality control measures in a manufacturing environment.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
