Oversees and leads a team of bargaining unit communications technicians. Leads the communication operations team with the installation, maintenance and repair of the telecommunication system network with an emphasis on microwave, fiberoptic, land mobile radio, wide area networks and energy management systems. Ensures communication with various departments to ensure adequate representation of the communication department in various projects. Provides metrics regarding execution of communication projects. Provides 24/7 response for communication related alarms and outages. Provides a safe, transparent and accountable atmosphere for the communication technicians and bridge for the communication engineers.
Monitors and enforces all compliance requirements for area of responsibility.
Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school plus 6 years of equivalent relevant work experience.
Candidates that do not possess a bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.

PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software. Practical knowledge of various telecommunication software and work management systems.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
General office environment and field visits. No special physical demands required.
Annual Salary: $137,000 (Min) to $161,200 (Mid); Up to 20% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity at the discretion of the company. This is a non-represented position.
