Core business hours 8am -5pm. Onsite work, Hybrid work available after 6 months.
Responsible for leading and managing a team of Senior System Engineers in the design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of the organization’s network infrastructure. This role ensures stability, security, scalability, and high performance of all network systems, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and data center environments. The Manager will collaborate closely with IT leadership, security teams, and other business units to deliver reliable connectivity solutions that meet organizational goals and service level agreements.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- Education equivalency equals two years of directly related professional experience for every year of education not completed. The stated experience is in addition to any experience used to meet the education equivalency.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible network engineering experience, including the design, configuration, maintenance, and support of network hardware and software in multi-protocol, client/server, mid-tier, and WAN environments.
- Experience in storage systems architecture, disaster recovery, network security tools and protocols, including firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, as well as expertise in cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and hybrid infrastructures.
- 3 years of project management experience, with strong organizational skills in researching, planning, and overseeing diverse IT projects and initiatives.
- IT management and leadership experience within the utility industry or related enterprise comprising both conventional IT functions as well as Operational Technologies (e.g. SCADA)
- 2+ years managing and leading IT professionals in a Team-oriented culture
- Microsoft Certified Systems Expert, or equivalent (e.g., CCIE). Position will eventually require updating certification to Microsoft’s Role-Based accreditation program with area of specialization based upon operational needs.
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or comparable cybersecurity certifications
