Where You Will Work
Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. As a Hybrid employee, you’ll engage in virtual collaboration as well as attend in-person meetings at our Collaboration Hub in Phoenix or at one of our site locations. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Amenities at the Hub include a working café, phone booths and meeting rooms with technology tools for virtual and in-person collaboration. In-person attendance may vary based on the position and department requirements.

Description
Works with customers, marketing, sales and operations sites to evaluate, approve and disposition product specifications. Integrates specifications at each level of the Supply Chain to assure entire customer product mix can be reliably and effectively produced within the Supply Chain.
Collaborates with Site Management to assure product quality meets customer specifications. With Plant Management, identifies, prioritizes, plans, develops, coordinates and executes high impact process improvements and projects to improve product quality. Assures site’s ISO Certification is maintained.
•In collaboration with operations, establishes and reports on quality metrics to assure quality plans are on track and progressing as planned
+ Performs analysis on ability of Supply Chain to meet customer specifications and where gaps exist in product offerings
+ Assesses overall process capability and how to balance overall process from raw materials to finished goods
•Gathers, organizes and maintains product quality data from mines and conversion units
+ Performs analysis on customer specifications to identify trends
+ Develops and maintains value added business process to review nonstandard product
•Coordinates with site operations, sales and customers to identify and resolve plant production quality defects or customer process defects
•Collaborates with Operations Management to determine priorities, plan, and budget and execute projects that will meet or improve product quality
•Guides Quality Analysts and Lab Management in development of best practices for inspection, testing, measuring data, analysis of product quality and performance and project execution
•Selects, supervises and develops staff; interprets policies and procedures and assures department achieves zero injuries and incidents and site safety goals
•Works with sites to maintain site quality ISO certification and supports other certifications as required
•Provides effective written and verbal information, presentations and resources to site and regional leadership, other departments, peers and teams, customers, employees, regulators and the public
•Budgets, justifies, monitors, forecasts and controls department operating and capital expenditures
•Reviews Capital Improvement Plans from a quality perspective and makes recommendations
+ Evaluates infrastructure, facilities and operating systems for needed maintenance and repair
•Performs other duties as requested
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering of a relevant discipline required (Metallurgical, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Process preferred) and five (5) to ten (10) years of Operations experience, including supervisory or management experience, budgeting and project management experience and quality management/analysis experience
Criteria/Conditions
•Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
•Ability to travel internationally 1-2 times per year, or as needed
•Up to 50% travel to company sites, per year
•Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
•Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
•Work is performed primarily in an office setting, and in an outdoor or plant environment
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, talk, hear and see
•Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 25 pounds) during the course of the workday
•Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in an outdoor or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and other protective equipment as required
What We Offer YouThe estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $95,500-$134,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
