Hi-Kalibre Equipment is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee our daily operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our business. The Manager, Operations is a key member of our US team, responsible for overseeing and optimizing the daily operations within our US office. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this role is an integral part of the management team, ensuring operational efficiency and strict adherence to company policies and safety standards in US operations.
Key responsibilities include supervising and training production staff, managing operational costs, and ensuring the seamless execution of administrative duties.
This position requires effective collaboration and communication with key internal stakeholders, including Management, Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Safety to ensure alignment and contribute to the continued success of the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proven track record in oil & gas industry. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage resources, optimize processes, and lead a team to achieve operational excellence.
- Works with the COO to establish and communicate production specific key performance indicators at the HKUSA facility which supports the company's vision, mission and objectives.
- Engages with the COO to establish and enforce job costing, inventory and operational policies that ensure our operational budget for HKUSA is met.
- Analyzes internal and external operations to identify areas of process enhancement in production, planning and procurement.
- Responsible to co-ordinate with the COO for HKUSA plant design, asset maintenance, asset utilization and capital budget in support of our sales activities and revenue targets.
- Fosters a culture of continual improvement in the HKUSA plant which enhances capability, increases quality, and improves cost effectiveness to provide a secure supply chain for our products and services.
- Establish agreements and relationships with key vendors that ensure supply, reduces cost and ensures quality of inventory and consumables.
- Motivate, lead, and develop the HKUSA Staff by providing mentorship and overseeing training.
- Ensure that Safety policy is well implemented and provides leadership for the HKUSA Staff that supports a positive, measurable, safety culture that drives towards zero incidents.
- Ensure that HR policy is well implemented and compliant with Texas Employment Standards and company objectives regarding hiring, culture, and performance.
- Work with the Sales Department to provide service and support for HKUSA and West Texas customers, including customer equipment that has been returned for repair.
- Work with the Engineering department to provide technical assessment of customer equipment that is in service or returned for evaluation.
- Perform any other duties as directed by the Chief Operations Officer.- 5+ years in operations management in an oilfield environment is required. - 2+ years of experience in a leadership role.
- Formal education in leadership, management, accounting and finance is an asset.
