The Manager of Professional Development is responsible for leading the strategic development and implementation of staff training, coaching, and quality assurance systems across all program sites. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality services through a robust framework of continuous learning, compliance monitoring, and performance improvement. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in adult learning, staff development, program quality evaluation, and leadership training in youth-serving or educational settings.
- Design and implement a comprehensive professional development framework for all staff roles, including onboarding, ongoing training, and career pathways.
- Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions focused on youth development, compliance, leadership, and instructional quality.
- Develop and maintain accessible training materials such as manuals, guides, e-learning content, and resources in alignment with organizational goals.
- Customize leadership development programs to build internal capacity for supervisory roles.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to staff at various levels to support performance and growth.
- Model best practices and techniques to staff at various levels to support performance and growth.
- Coordinate special training events, annual refreshers, and learning cohorts.
- Provide direct program service support at least once a month and as needed.

- Maintain accurate records of training participation, assessments, site evaluations, and quality improvement plans.
- Monitor completion of mandatory training and certification requirements using learning management and HR systems.
- Prepare and present reports on professional development progress, training impact, and quality trends to senior leadership.
- Represent the Professional Development and Quality team in internal and external meetings.
- Develop and implement quality assessment tools and performance metrics to measure program effectiveness and staff competency.
- Conduct regular site visits to evaluate program implementation, provide feedback, and identify training needs.
- Analyze performance data, staff feedback, and incident reports to inform professional development priorities.
- Collaborate with program leaders to embed best practices into daily operations and address quality-related issues.
- Ensure training and quality improvement efforts comply with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery, incorporating innovative and evidence-based strategies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to address challenges, improve workflows, and align training with organizational needs.
- Promote a culture of accountability, learning, and excellence across all levels of the organization.
- Stay current on trends in youth development, education, workforce development, and compliance to maintain program excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development, Social Work, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in staff development, program quality management, or training in a youth-serving or educational setting.
- Demonstrated ability to design, deliver, and assess professional learning experiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and virtual training tools.
- Ability to analyze data, communicate findings, and lead initiatives based on performance outcomes.
