Your contribution!
The Manager – IT Infrastructure will be leading a team of professionals to achieve operations and project objectives. The position will be also in charge to coordinate critical internal processes (major incident and change management) and maintain compliancy with applicable regulations (SOX-ITGC, NERC-CIP) and responsible to manage vendors relationship and contracts with MSP (Managed Service Provider). This position is responsible for overseeing the infrastructure functions of the company. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the effective utilization of IT systems and network, performing efficient daily infrastructure operations, improve efficiency and reliability by optimizing our technology environment
Your day-to-day!
Leadership And Team Management
• Lead a team of system and network administrators, providing technical guidance, support, and mentorship.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and innovation.
• Identify training and development needs of the team and coordinate appropriate programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Organize and facilitate team delivery activities following Agile/Kanban principles.
Infrastructure Strategy And Architecture
• Develop and implement system and network strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
• Contribute actively to the design and conception of new solutions in collaboration with the infrastructure architect.
• Evaluate and recommend suitable technology systems, solutions, and standards to optimize processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of technology initiatives across the organization.
• Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices and innovative solutions in system and network technology.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure smooth deployment and functioning of technology.
• Play a leadership role in the integration of the new assets into the current information and infrastructure systems.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of technology systems and software applications.
System And Network Management
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the operational efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IT infrastructure and OT (Operational Technology) systems, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange between operational and information technology.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), system configurations, and network diagrams, to ensure accurate and up-to-date records of systems.
• Lead infrastructure major incident resolution, performing efficient communication with stakeholders and coordination of internal and external technical specialist to achieve rapid resolution with minimum business impact.
• Coordinate changes in the infrastructure through the CAB (Change Approval Board) in conjunction with all teams impacted.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for systems and network, collaborating with maintenance and operations teams to resolve issues in a timely manner and minimize downtime.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to OT systems in the renewable energy sector. Make recommendations for system upgrades or enhancements accordingly.
• Conduct regular assessments of systems and network, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and implementing appropriate cybersecurity measures to protect against threats and unauthorized access.
• Perform the management of MSP (Managed Service Providers) to ensure seamless operations and to track vendor performance.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations and policies (SOX/ITGC, NERC-CIP).
Project Coordination And Support
• Provide technology support to projects, collaborating with project managers and stakeholders.
• Coordinate internal team to deliver infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with external partners, such as contractors and suppliers, to ensure the successful integration of technology systems into project activities.
• Monitor project progress, identify technology-related risks or issues, and recommend appropriate mitigation measure.
Your skills, our requirements!
• At least 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure operations, design and administration.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in leadership positions and team management.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, or equivalent.
• Professional certifications in relevant technologies and/or Project management
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving objectives.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with operational technologies (OT) and in the renewable energy sector, an asset.
• Strong structured and organised approach based on ITIL and agile principles.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices, including network security, access controls, and vulnerability management.
• Proven experience in managing MSP (Managed Service Provider) and external vendors.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as NERC CIP, SOX/ITGC.
• Azure, M365, AD, AAD, Powershell
• VMWare or Backup Sytems
• Architecture hybride (OnPrem/Cloud)
• LAN/WAN, Firewall, Switch, WIFI Access Point
• Knowledge of Operational Technology (OT), an asset
• Bilingualism (French and English, written and spoken) is required to ensure collaboration with different stakeholders outside of Québec on a regular basis.
Additional considerations!
• The position can be based in the company's Longueuil (Quebec) headquarters
• Ability to participate in critical incident resolution outside of business hours.
• This position is a M2 level.
