This role will develop the HR Shared Services function and team, focusing on managing a high-quality, service-driven HR function, improving processes, establishing best practices, and guiding direct reports. It will collaborate with Operations Support to ensure smooth and efficient HR activities, crucial for supporting the business, line managers, and employees.
The salary for this position will be commensurate based on education and/or experience.

What You'll Be Doing
•Oversees the daily operations of the shared services function and client/customer delivery experience.
•Ensures that the HR Shared Services Team delivers to consistently high levels while driving continuous improvement initiatives and effectively managing compliance.
•Leads ongoing process improvement and change management associated with the employee lifecycle and overall function.
•Manages diverse stakeholders and creates a strong customer centric culture within an HR Shared Services operation.
•Leads, manages and develops the team ensuring an integrated approach to service delivery and collaboration with the IT team.
•Meets regularly with HRBPs and Business Unit Managers to clearly manage business expectations of HR Shared Services in a proactive and positive manner.
•Addresses complex customer inquiries that require cross-functional coordination and/or problem solving.
•Contributes to the HR technology strategy and focus on improving the user self-service experience. Work with the IT team to ensure technology is optimized to best meet HR Shared Services and customer requirements.
•Develops and interprets SLA and KPI metrics to measure service quality and performance, ensuring regular reviews and evaluations of team and process effectiveness.
•Manages data entry practices of employee information to a high degree of accuracy and that security and controls are in place and followed.
•Maintains and improves HR policies and procedures and implement changes to ensure policies are aligned to internal priorities as well as employment and labor laws both within the United States and Canada.
•Clarifies processes and drive efficiencies that enable the team to effectively handle transactional volumes. Drives process standardization and improvement within HR Shared Services.
•Creates and maintains documentation of existing HR policies and processes. Ensures communication between departments of any policy or program change.
•Collaborates with payroll, HR Business Partners, and SMEs to ensure HR transactions are developed and executed in support of the overall HR strategy.
What We're Looking For
•Education Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or Human Resources would be preferred, or a combination or the equivalent work experience.
•5+ years of HR Advisory experience in a Shared Services structure; and at least 3+ years of supervisory experience.
•SHRM and/or CPHR designation preferred.
•Exposure to HR best practices and experience in an HR Shared Services center model.
•Ideally have worked with an HR Shared Services ticketing technology like ServiceNow.
•Experience in a large organization with geographically dispersed field operations.
•Experience in establishing HR Share Services benchmarking key metrics.
•Experience with unionized work environments is considered an asset.
•Advanced knowledge and application of US and Canadian privacy and employment laws.
•Experience with Oracle HCM or similar large integrated HR systems.
•Demonstrated strong client service orientation motivated by adding value.
•Demonstrated success leading large initiatives and in change management.
•Demonstrated capability to identify and resolve technical and operational problems.
•Ability to build effective work relationships, influence behavior, and manage change.
•Experience managing and producing data and reports. Able to use information and data to interpret, analyze, and recommend strategic solutions.
•Has demonstrated planning, organization, process improvement and time management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate.
•Experienced in performance management, coaching, and mentoring direct reports.
•Passionate about understanding the customer experience.
