The HR Manager will be responsible for developing and leading a team to provide HR operations solutions and support to the business. This position will act as the liaison between management and employee relationships by developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Establish and maintain an understanding of the organization and business, to build effective and productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and employees at all levels of the organization
- Provide support and guidance to leaders on employee-related matters, including team development and performance, HR processes and policies, talent planning, and performance management to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development
- Continually evaluate and propose changes to processes, standards, and policies to ensure they are effective, efficient, and serve the needs of the organization
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry specific regulations, and all associated reporting tied to HR Operations; stay up-to-date with industry specific trends, best practices, and employment law
- Proactively manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and legal risk; ensure manager and employee compliance with company policies and procedures and governmental regulations; support investigations as needed
- Provide guidance and assistance in the implementation of business restructures, workforce planning, and headcount modeling
- Develop and execute a lifecycle approach to talent management focused on forecasting, staffing, on-boarding, development, performance management, career/succession planning, talent movement and retention, and leveraging workforce analytics and insights
- Collaborate with recruitment, with a strong focus on acquiring and retaining top talent and building a pipeline for future needs
- Use understanding of individual and organizational dynamics to facilitate talent movement into and throughout the organization
- Develop thoughtful, integrated approaches to promote diversity and inclusion in talent attraction, development, and retention
- Regular, reliable attendance at the work site or assigned work location
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field required
- At least 8 years of Human Resources experience with increased levels of responsibility required
- At least 5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner in a dynamic environment required
- SHRM and/or HRCI Certifications preferred
- Experience using Workday HRIS preferred
- Broad knowledge of HR functional areas (compensation, benefits, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Extremely flexible, open-minded, and creative when it comes to developing and maintaining HR processes
- Must be a strategic thinker, self-motivated, and have excellent problem solving and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders within the organization
- Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels in the organization
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including writing and presentations
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude that fosters effective relationships
- Ability to manage multiple projects while overseeing the day-to-day duties of a team
- Ability to maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel
- Ability to work early mornings, nights, and weekends as necessary
- Lift, push, or pull objects of various dimensions up to 30 lbs. of weight frequently
- Ability to perform 80% sedentary work and tolerate prolonged standing/sitting/walking
- Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects
- Ability to verbally communicate, hear, and see
