Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, the Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of GAAP and SEC compliant financial statements for Priority Power while working with the Finance team on a variety of financial-related projects. The Financial Reporting Manager will drive a high compliance environment and directly oversees timely and accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Support preparation of financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, statement of changes in equity, and statement of cash flows, monthly
• Consolidate financial statements and eliminate intercompany transactions
• Prepared all footnote disclosures to the consolidated financial statements
• Perform monthly and quarterly variance analyses
• Ensure accuracy of financial statements, following GAAP and company’s policies
• Perform frequent and complex technical accounting research, particularly around revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842) and consolidation (VOE and VIE models – ASC 810), with a basic understanding of (ASC 740) Income Taxes
• Proven ability to present complex accounting analyses to management and auditors
• Directly support the development of audit documentation and support audit requests
• Develop and perform analytics on key accounts to drive resolution, create efficiencies in reviews, provide entity wide visibility and reduce overall risk
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Assist with any identified changes to the accounting technology environment
• Drive compliance around all accounting procedures and controls
• Assist with finance leadership with miscellaneous reporting and filing activities
• Prepare presentations for the VP of Finance, Director of FP&A, Business Unit Heads, and other levels of management as required
Requirements
• 5+ years of Big 4 public accounting plus industry work experience in financial/SEC reporting
• Experience with technical accounting and consolidation
• Active CPA license and bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
• Working ERP knowledge and advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Requirements
• Operational accounting and financial reporting experience in the construction or power & utilities industries
• Systems experience: Cloud ERP (NetSuite, Oracle, etc.) and Cloud EPM/CPM/Consolidation system (OneStream)
