Are you in? Primary Purpose:
Ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations. Implements Exelon's procedures and policies and ensures that Executive Protection standards are consistent across all locations, including both the Chicago and East Coast offices. Facilitates effective coordination and communication between these locations. Acts as the lead point of contact for federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, overseeing the development and management of Executive Protection operations. Manages Exelon's Corporate Executive Protection team, including conducting performance reviews. Screens, interviews, and, when applicable, tests applicants for both employee and contractor position openings. Assesses candidates' qualifications and suitability for the role and makes hiring recommendations. Oversees both the technical and behavioral development of team members. Manages the operational and business functions of the Executive Protection department. In collaboration with Corporate Physical Security Business Analysts, forecasts and builds budgets for Executive Protection, including training and travel & expense (T&E) costs. Holds high-level decision-making authority regarding executive support, personnel workload, and firearm-related matters. Oversees all budgeting and forecasting for the Executive Protection department, including personnel overtime hours, assigned vehicles, leases, software support, maintenance, taxes, fees, and title/registration requirements. While fiscal responsibility is expected, safety and security will never be compromised due to budgetary concerns. Maintains strong working relationships with Accountable Executives, company leadership, executive assistants, and other key stakeholders. Collaborates with internal departments such as Finance, Supply, Tax, Real Estate, IT, HR, and Utility Security. Represents Exelon in interactions with external vendors and within the broader Executive Protection community, including law enforcement agencies, industry safety vendors, national and local safety organizations, vehicle service providers, and trade groups. Ensures all investigations related to threats against assigned executives and their families are thoroughly conducted. This includes determining the appropriate investigative response, notifying law enforcement, deciding whether to contact the individual(s) making the threat, and documenting all actions in the Security Department's investigative database.
Note: This is an on-site position. Employees are required to report to one of the following office locations: Chicago, IL, Baltimore, MD, Philadelphia, PA or Washington DC for any scheduled shifts. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Oversees and coordinates a team of Security Specialists across Exelon jurisdictions, ensuring 24/7 operational coverage. Engages with personnel at all organizational levels, including executive leadership, and interfaces with high-level external stakeholders such as senior law enforcement officials, members of the intelligence community, and Homeland Security representatives. Responsible for identifying and mitigating threats to the company, safeguarding personnel, infrastructure, and corporate assets, and responding to a wide range of emerging security issues with potential impacts on the organization. Possesses deep expertise in physical security and serves as a subject matter expert on issues affecting Exelon. Reports directly to the Director of Corporate Physical Security and, when required, acts as a representative of the Director in matters with actual or potential corporate impact.
