To support our mission, we are currently seeking an experienced Manager, Electrical Engineering to join our team in Vancouver.
What does this role involve?
•You will be involved in the electrical engineering design of mineral processing plants and associated infrastructure. This could include industrial processing plants as well as precious metals plants as well as iron ore plants and associated services.
•Working across a continuous succession of small and large, domestic and international projects as they progress through the project lifecycle. Your involvement from early concept development, detailed design, construction, commissioning to operations
•You will be required to liaise with internal and external clients, other discipline professionals, and stakeholders within the industry to ensure the timely, accurate and cost effective delivery of projects.
•Working in a highly experienced team, and act as the Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be exposed to a continuous succession of small and large, domestic and international projects as they progress through the project lifecycle from early concept development, detailed design, construction, commissioning and operations
•Demonstrate high standard of personal safety and safety in design practices.
•Leading a team of 8+ Engineers and Designers.
What are we looking for?
•Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
•Registration as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia, Quebec, or other provinces in Canada and United States would be an asset
•Minimum of 10 years Canadian or U.S.A. Electrical Engineering experience
•Extensive engineering experience in design/consultancy/operational environments, and previous experience in industrial processing and or mining and metals experience an asset
•Ability to safely and effectively self-manage time, priorities and activities
•Well-developed communication and negotiation skills
•Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical code
•Experience with both MV and LV power transmission and distribution systems
•Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems in applications
•Familiarity with database tools, AutoCad and ETAP (preferred)
•Ability to interact with clients, stakeholders, contractors and co-workers
•Able to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical staff
•Strong organizational skills, technical competence and attention to detail
•Have a thorough understanding of codes, governing regulations and industry practices
