Position Requirements
Education
•Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Finance or Accounting
Experience / Specific Knowledge
•A minimum of 5 years of diverse and progressively responsible industry related experience.
•Demonstrated experience with commercial contracts, including Gas Gathering Agreements, Processing Agreements, or Percent-of-Proceeds (POP) models.
•Ability to synthesize technical, financial, and commercial inputs into cohesive investment recommendations.
•Experience with upstream producer behavior and basin-specific dynamics, particularly in the Bakken or other unconventional plays.
•Ability to develop contractual framework for formal agreements.
•General understanding of pipeline and processing operations including basic technical design, quality parameters, hydraulics and scheduling functions.
Competencies, Skills, And Abilities
•Must have well developed oral and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
•Advanced proficiency level in MS Office applications including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
•Advanced proficiency level in MS Office Excel; including experience with economic modeling and data analysis.
•Must be able to analyze all aspects of a proposed commercial transaction (financial, contractual, legal, operational and marketing).
•Must be self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision.
•Must be articulate, work well under pressure and be consistently able to meet deadlines.
•Must be flexible and able to work effectively with a multi-disciplined team, handle multiple priorities simultaneously, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
•Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills required.
Working Conditions
•Basic office environment with frequent overnight travel for several days, occasionally on short notice.
•Extended work hours required in cases of deadlines and/or emergencies.
•Routinely required to work alone (unsupervised).
•Anticipated travel: 10-20%
