Kindle Energy LLC ("Kindle") is a leading power generation and asset management company focused on the management, optimization and development of energy assets across the United States and Canada. Kindle currently manages 8.8 GW of power generation assets located in Ohio, Indiana, Texas, Louisiana and Colorado. Our development and construction achievements include ongoing construction of Magnolia Power, LLC, a 700 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) project in Louisiana, and Mountain Peak Power, a 164 MW peaking project in Colorado. We are actively working to expand our footprint through three separate natural gas projects under development: Canyon Peak Power (Colorado)-a 156 MW peaking facility; Wolf Summit Energy (West Virginia)-a 610 MW CCGT; and Lincoln Land Energy Center (Illinois)-a 1156 MW CCGT.

Job Summary:

We currently have an opportunity for a Manager of Business Development to support a dynamic and growing team engaged in building a pipeline of gas power plant development projects to support growing needs for clean-burning and reliable generation.


Responsibilities:

- Support and initiate business development efforts, working collaboratively with various colleagues, for new build as well as ongoing project and business development initiatives

- Develop and maintain customer relationships in support of development initiatives (e.g. relationships with landowners, prospective offtakers, community leaders, partners, vendors, etc.)

- Support and lead analyses, structuring, legal drafting, and negotiations associated with complex transactions for power plant developments (e.g. engineering design, equipment procurement, construction, offtake, fuel supply, permits, market trends, insurance related matters, etc.)

- Perform project evaluations and due diligence to help make recommendations in support of large customer/industry initiatives, long-term contracted investments, and new growth opportunities

- Review, research, and respond to customer request for proposals (“RFPs”)

- Review, research, publish, manage responses, and make selection recommendations regarding subcontractor and/or vendor RFPs

- Create business case proposals and presentations for business growth and development opportunities

- Conduct market research and provide analyses of multiple facets within the energy industry to develop and support new investment opportunities

- Create, review, proofread, format, and present materials such as board-quality Power Point presentations and Word documents, business correspondence, financial models, technical analyses, and investment memorandums

- Coordinate schedules and team calendars as needed

- Manage and track major project deadlines, milestones, and/or deliverables and guide them to conclusion in a timely manner

- Lead and assist with special projects as required

- Travel up to 50% of the time, as necessary to support business and project development initiatives

- Other duties may be required as business needs dictates


Qualifications:

- Must have a high level of self-awareness, motivation, and ability to communicate openly and timely with team members and outside counterparties

- Advanced technical and communications skills, including exceptional data analytics, written, and verbal communication skills

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- High proficiency in analytical and presentation tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, GIS/mapping tools and other applications

- Exceptional project management, communications, analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities

- Strong organizational skills, flexibility and ability to prioritize and work in a rapidly changing environment

- Willingness to learn and be trained in new areas as well as the power generation industry

- Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed

- Minimum of bachelors’ degree required, preferred coursework in business or a technical field; previous experience in the energy industry could be substituted in lieu of a business or technical degree

- Relevant work experience that will translate into a fast-paced environment
